Ready, Set, Go!

How many times along our journeys have we heard these words? Ready, Set, Go! Probably more than most can count or remember. The most common place we hear this is when a race is starting. Sometimes as children we heard those words followed by counting when it was time to play hide and seek.

How often have you been ready to join the race or the game and all the sudden an event that you didn't foresee coming stopped you completely in your tracks? This is how the journey we are walking goes at times. We get hit by situations or a series of situations that just knock us completely down at times. We can find ourselves wondering how do I get back up or recover from this. Been there? I'm sure you have more than we want to say.

How do we handle these situations in our journeys? The absolute only way to handle them is with help, where does that kind of help come from when we need it?

Are you ready to know where the help that can get you back up on your feet and ready to hear those 3 words again comes from?

(Ready, Set, Go)

Here is your answer along with mine.

Psalm 121:1-8 ESV

  1. I lift my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come?

  2. My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

  3. He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber.

  4. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber or sleep.

  5. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand.

  6. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.

  7. The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life.

  8. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.

This passage of Scripture reassures us that the Lord will keep us through it all. Every situation we face, every trial we endure. As we journey together down this path we are on, I pray you allow Jesus to unpack all your baggage 🧳. He's the only one who truly can.

We have to be willing to submit that baggage and say 'Jesus', I need you to open the suitcase and unpack it all for me. The suitcases are representation of our hearts as we move along this journey. Some are large, some are small. They are all different sizes according to the amount of times you have been knocked down or toppled over in your journey.

Ask yourself as you finish todays blog, am I ready for Jesus to unpack my baggage?

And if your answer is "yes", get ready to say to Jesus.

Ready, Set, Go!

My prayer for you today is that you can say to Jesus Ready, Set, Go.

I pray you completely surrender all your baggage to Him.

Be Blessed as you allow your suitcases to be un-packed 😊

I love the suitcase analogy! So true and I pray my heart will steady as I allow Holy Spirit to unpack all my luggage, even those hidden compartments I still often try to tuck away! Thank you for this word!
